William Ritchie
Founder and Managing Director
Having established the business in 2015, William specialises in advising the key stakeholders of both buyers and sellers on deals in the media and technology sectors, utilising his extensive global M&A experience from working on over 100 transactions across 25 countries.
With a keen eye on the media sector, William has a passion for disruptive technology and enjoys investing his time in learning about new and exciting tools and products. Beyond M&A, William ensures WY Partners is adopting the latest technologies – developing multiple in-house tools including their online M&A Tracker – and works to ensure technology is at the heart of their processes and client delivery.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he began his M&A career within Deloitte before moving onto Venture Capital investing in high growth technology businesses. In 2010, he joined WPP’s M&A team where he completed over 50 M&A transactions over four years including the transformative acquisition of AKQA.
He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and holds an MA in Business and Accounting from The University of Edinburgh.

Elliott Dodds
Associate Director
Elliott works across corporate finance and transaction services engagements, advising both buyers and sellers on deals in the media and technology sectors.
Working alongside founders and shareholders of exciting, growing businesses and supporting them through what can be life-changing events is what Elliott really enjoys about his work at WY Partners. With a keen eye for detail and a deep interest in the media and technology sectors, he is able to provide clients with commercially focused insight that drive successful outcomes.
After beginning his career with KPMG in London within the Financial Services audit practice, Elliott then moved into the firm’s Private Equity transaction services team. There he supported a wide range of large European PE firms on the execution of deals primarily within the technology sector.
He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) having previously graduated from the University of St Andrews with a degree in Management (MA).

Sarah Vick
Non-Exec Director
Sarah is a Chair, Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor to agencies and technology businesses. She specialises in helping execute their growth plans and establish effective leadership teams. Prior to this Sarah spent 20 years in global leadership roles in digital agencies.
Sarah has worked alongside the team at WY Partners for the past five years and has been involved in providing commercial due diligence services during that time.

Ollie Smith
Associate Director
Ollie assists on all aspects of deal execution, from identifying potential partners or buyers, through to SPA negotiation and completion.
Ollie also has experience providing financial due diligence services to both corporate acquirers and private equity investors.
He is deeply committed to offering assistance during crucial stages of a business’s evolution, motivated to guarantee optimal outcomes from both personal and commercial standpoints.
Prior to joining the firm, Ollie started his career in audit at PwC, where he undertook his ACA exams. He then moved to the Transaction Service team, providing buy side and vendor due diligence for both Private Equity and Corporate clients.
He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a Bachelor’s degree (BSc Hons) in Natural Sciences from Durham University.
